Many times you will hear people say that they are against nuclear power. When you ask them why they say well look what nuclear bombs have done and talk about Nagasaki and Hiroshima. They will discuss Chernobyl in Russia. They might even get into the issues of Three-Mile Island and yet no one there ever died and our Nuclear Power Plant technology is far superior today than it was when that plant was built. Did you know that the United States lags the rest of the world in Nuclear Power Plants as a percentage of their energy use? We are pretty far down on that list.
Did you also know that many of the survivors of the atomic bomb in Japan had extremely long life spans, which are way out of skew with the normal life expectancy of a Japanese member of the population at that time? In fact the numbers are so ridiculously skewed it would might makes sense to live with more radiation around to increase life spans although no one wants to say it, as it is not politically correct to point out such data and findings.
Did you know that the media totally embellished the number of deaths in the Chernobyl accident by about 10-fold? Did you know that nuclear energy emits no green house gases? If one is to complain about Global Warming, well then how can they turn around and be anti-nuclear energy? Think on this.
